In the 90s a new type of dog has gradually appeared in the province of Quebec. It is the service dog, which, like the guide dog, accompanies handicapped persons wherever they are going in an effort to palliate some of their functional limitations. Not yet much known to the public, the demand for service dogs from people with motor or neurological deficiencies is increasing.
