Drainvac and Mira, a collaboration for more than 30 years
In this time of pandemic and despite the guidelines for social distancing, it is with great happiness that we received a check for $ 10,000 from Drainvac, which has supported the Mira Foundation for over 30 years.
Indeed, the collaboration between Drainvac and Mira did not start yesterday. In 1986, Clémence Bahl and Roger Boucher, Drainvac retailers in Saint-Hyacinthe, were the first in the business to promote the Mira Foundation. Already at the time, they got involved at different levels, whether by organizing fundraisers, getting involved in different events, volunteering and offering free labor and maintenance on Drainvac systems installed at Mira.
The first Drainvac device was installed in 1986 in the laundry room of the beneficiaries' accommodation. A few years later, another system was installed in the new premises. Drainvac’s involvement has increased, including the participation of Conrad Sévigny (founder) and Martin Sévigny (current president) in Mira events such as Défi-Vision and MusiqueFest in recent years. Drainvac is also developing a space for collecting donations during its annual “Open Doors” sales since 2014.
In 34 years of collaboration, the most successful commitment of Drainvac is undoubtedly the creation of a range of products bearing the image of Mira. An amount is collected for each Mira device sold and, each year, Drainvac increases the amount obtained in order to give a check for $ 10,000 to the Mira Foundation. Since the launch of this range in 2014, we have received $ 60,000, the equivalent of two Mira dogs!
This photo, taken in two stages, clearly shows that despite the distance and the current context, it is still possible to support and help each other.
Thank you Drainvac! ❤️
