Renovation of the assistance dog program facility
Headquarters 1820 Rang Nord-Ouest Sainte-Madeleine , QC J0H 1S0The Mira Foundation has renovated the facility for its assistance dog program located at the head office in Sainte-Marie-Madeleine. It had not been renovated since it was built more than 15 years ago, and the needs were extensive.
The aim of this renovation project was to make the pavilion more suitable for our mobility-impaired clients, and also more welcoming and soothing for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and their parents staying at Mira during dog attribution classes.
Thanks to the generous support of donors and sponsors, more than $130,000 was raised in donations and sponsorships, allowing us to greatly reduce the costs associated with a major project such as this one. Without this support, we would not have been able to accomplish all that we have done in such a short time, far exceeding the expectations and goals we had set in the first place. A big thank you!
